Our Service Policies

Estimates are good for the time stated, but no more, prices vary weekly and we feel we give our prospective clients more than enough time to make a decision. All you need to do is contact us if you would like us to put you on our list. A 50% down is required at time of order.

Payment Terms

Our payment terms are as follows: 50% down with every project balance due on completion of work. We accept personal and business checks, money orders, cashiers checks, most major credit cards and cash.

Change during the process

Any additional changes in any form whether it is an add-on, measurement, style, color or finish after work has begun will result in extra charges.

Late Payment

All payments for residential work not received in our office upon completion of work will accrue a finance charge of 18% per year or 1.5% per month, on the unpaid balance

Delivery

The Oak Tree will deliver approximately 30 miles out with a minimum fee for the area. You are also welcome to pick up your item.

Returned Check Charges

We will impose a $35.00 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds each time the payment of the check is refused.

Re-possession Rights

We reserve the right to re-possess any and all pieces we have completed if the balance has not been paid in full. Any and all property not paid in full with in 30 days of first notice for delivery or customer pick up will result in the right of re-possession to The Oak Tree. Late fees and all other fees will be applied to the amount due The Oak Tree. We reserve the right to sell any and all merchandise that is unpaid by the above conditions at a price set by us. We also reserve the right to place a mechanics lean on homes where we have completed house projects.

Sales Tax

Sales tax will be charged accordingly:
Iowa Residents – 7% of any furniture or merchandise sale unless otherwise stated by the State of Iowa Revenue.
New constructions, such as kitchens are exempt by the consumer and will be absorbed by The Oak Tree, Inc.

Warranty

There is no warranty on unfinished pieces as we are not aware of how long the item(s) has sat unstable before applying a finish. Humidity, sunlight can damage or warp a product in the unfinished state and are not the responsibility of The Oak Tree, Inc to fix.

Minor adjustments on cabinetry projects, can be made by the Oak Tree, Inc. with in 14 days of the completion of project.

Custom coloring a piece is sometimes difficult and at times are not able to get exact match due to age, type of wood and/or not using a stock color from our selected suppliers etc. The Oak Tree, Inc. will do it’s best to stain the project to match but are not responsible for a piece not matching perfectly.
